While having the extended rest, the Bruins find that this rest may be necessary as they have announced today that Torey Krug and Adam McQuaid are both day-to-day after both players missed this morning’s practice.
The team’s official Twitter account tweeted out that McQuaid re-aggravated his lower body injury. Krug’s injury was not specifically mentioned by Julien, but he did say “we hope to see him(Krug) back on the ice tomorrow or for Thursday’s game.”
Torey Krug has become an interval part of what the Bruins want to do offensively as the second year player is a plus-five on the ice and has scored seven goals with nine assists. McQuaid will be missed defensively as he is a plus-seven on the ice and has three points of his own.
The Bruins also recalled Kevan Miller, who debuted last month for the Bruins in three games when McQuaid was initially injured. In practice today, the defensive pairings were Chara-Boychuck, Seidenberg-Hamilton and Bartkowski-Miller.
The Boston Bruins get back to action on Thursday when they travel to play the Montreal Canadiens at 7:30 PM.
