All-Pro defensive lineman, J.J. Watt scores his third touchdown of the season when the Houston Texan’s played host to the Indianapolis Colts in yesterdays Thursday night matchup.
Watt started out as another mid-week blow out game last night in Houston, turned out to be quite the contest as the Texans took on the Colts. The Colts quarterback, Andrew Luck led his team to a commanding 24-0 first quarter lead. That lead was quickly reduced 27-14 going into the half with great performances of Texan running back, Arian Foster and wide receiver, Andre Johnson.
Foster had his fantasy owners jumping for joy with his second consecutive big game of 109 rushing yards and 2-touchdowns while fellow teammate, Andre Johnson caught 7 passes for 99 yards and a score.
It wasn’t the offensive production of those two players that was topic of conversation at the water cooler this morning. That topic belonged to the outstanding performance of the fourth year defensive end out of Wisconsin, J.J. Watt.
Watt was responsible for 7-tackles along with sacking the quarterback twice during the course of the game. However, it was his play in the fourth quarter that drew the most attention from fans and Houston’s defensive fantasy owners everywhere. While down 33-21 early in the fourth, Andrew Luck fumbled the ball and Watt was not only there to make the fumble recovery, he got himself off the ground and returned the ball 40 yards all the way for a score.
This is Watt’s third touchdown on the season as he has one in each category of receiving, interception and now fumble recovery.
Watt’s next for Watt? I say they throw him in on kickoff and punt returns and see if he can break one for a score! Watt?, No?
