If your fantasy team is in need of a win or if your team needs a replacement this week, due to injuries or bye weeks, here are some sleepers that may help you out.
QB- Brian Hoyer (Cleveland) vs. Pittsburgh – Hoyer threw for 291 yards and 3 touchdowns last week against the Titans. Hoyer may not match those numbers this week, against a passing defense that gives up 225 yards per game. But Hoyer has some nice weapons to utilize, with Miles Austin, Andrew Hawkins, and Travis Benjamin, and with the Cleveland’s running game firing on all cylinders, Tate, West, and Crowell, Pittsburgh needs to pay attention to that aspect, which will open up some great play action and good passing lanes.
RB- Andre Williams (NY Giants) vs. Philadelphia – Williams stepped in for injured teammate, Jennings, last week against Atlanta and filled the job nicely, rushing for 65 yards and a touchdown. This week he faces a run defense which gives up 132 yards per game, look for Williams to have a nice game this week, plug him into your lineups with confidence.
WR- Odell Beckham (NY Giants) vs. Philadelphia – The rookie, Beckham, made his debut for the Giants last week against the Falcons. A nice debut it was, catching 4 balls for 44 yards and a touchdown. Look for Beckham to be more involved with that west coast offense. This week against the Eagles, who rank near the bottom in pass defense, giving up 275 yards per game, Beckham will produce very respectable fantasy numbers.
TE- Owen Daniels (Baltimore) vs. Tampa Bay – Daniels is in a very nice situation this week against the Bucs. Tampa Bay allows 292 passing yards per game, look for Daniels to be QB Joe Flacco’s security blanket this week. So far through 5 games, Daniels has put up nice fantasy numbers, 19 catches, 183 yards and 2 touchdowns.
