My Quarterback Boom of the week: Eli Manning, New York Giants- Coming off of a disaster performance against the San Francisco 49ers where he threw 5-interceptions, Manning and the G-Men play host to their division rivals, Dallas Cowboys this week. The last time these two teams met in week seven, Manning posted a nice stat line (21 of 33 for 248 yards and 3-touchdowns). I’m seeing more of the same this week as these two teams always play each other tough.
Other recommended quarterbacks to Boom are: Colin Kaepernick vs. Washington Redskins; Brian Hoyer vs. Atlanta Falcons; Josh McCown vs. Chicago Bears
My Running Back Boom of the week: Dan Herron, Indianapolis Colts– Running back Trent Richardson has been with the Indianapolis Colts for a season and a half. During that time span, Richardson has yet to take on the featured roll in the offense. Last season it was Trent paired with Donald Brown. This season he was teamed up with Ahmad Bradshaw (who was placed on the IR this week due to a foot injury suffered last week against the Patriots). It seems to me the Colts do not feel comfortable with Richardson having the featured roll. This is why I like third string running back, Dan Herron moving forward. It would not be a shock to me to see Herron fill the Bradshaw roll as he appears to be the quicker, faster and more shiftier back of the two.
Other recommended running backs to Boom are: Isaiah Crowell vs. Atlanta Falcons; Justin Forsett vs. New Orleans Saints
My Wide Receiver Boom of the week: John Brown, Arizona Cardinals– the rookie wide receiver out of Pittsburgh State leads his team in touchdown receptions going into this weekends game against the defending Super Bowl Champs, Seattle Seahawks. Given the Seahawks pass defense are a shell of themselves from what they were a season ago, I feel Brown could have himself a nice game. Also, there’s a good chance starting wide receiver, Larry Fitzgerald sits this game out with an injury which would make Brown the starting wide out opposite Michael Floyd.
Other recommended wide receivers to Boom are: Mohamed Sanu vs. Houston Texans; Odell Beckham vs. Dallas Cowboys
My Tight End Boom of the week: Scott Chandler, Buffalo Bills– Given the seven feet of snow Buffalo has received over the last few days, the Bills will play host to the New York Jets at Ford Field in Detroit this coming Monday Night. The last time these two teams met back in week eight, Kyle Orton threw four touchdown passes. One of those passes had Chandler on it’s receiving end. Given the Jets are one of the worst defenses against opposing tight ends, I see more of the same this time around.
Other recommended tight ends to Boom are: Colby Fleener vs. Jacksonville Jaguars; Jacob Tamme vs. Miami Dolphins
